CLAYTON REED // Clayton Reed is the Lead Pastor of Southlake Baptist Church. Clay is a major contributor and the editor in chief of the Southlake Pulse. He regularly writes articles on sermon series, theology, marriage, business and parenting. Clay’s years of experience as a CEO of a national company, Director of an international church planting network, and most recently, his insight as a Pastor in this community make his contributions to the Pulse invaluable. Clay lives in Southlake where he enjoys spending time with his wife Heather and 6 children, Jack, Josh, Eric, Matthew, Tyler and Abby and frequents the local Starbucks.
ZACK POLYAK // Zack Polyak is a Pastor at Southlake Baptist Church. Zack is the writer of “People Who Make Southlake” and other columns surrounding the life of the church. Zack is a great people person with the ability to bring out the color and personality in the stories profiling prominent members of our community. After spending a few years running his own business, Zack joined Clayton Reed to be a representative for his church planting network and has been a part of the Southlake Baptist launch team staff. Zack is married to Lindsay and they live in Keller with an energetic Jack Russell Terrier named Eddie and a Maine Coon named Leopold.
JUSTIN WELLS // Justin is the Worship Pastor at Southlake Baptist Church. Justin has a degree in Theory and Arranging from Berklee College of Music. He’s an accomplished pianist, as well as a studio musician and band leader in the DFW area. Justin and his family make their home in Keller Texas.
LINDSAY POLYAK // After eight years of working as executive assistant to Clayton Reed, Lindsay launched her own business as a virtual assistant, providing administrative services to small to medium size businesses in the Metroplex. Lindsay writes many of the biographical articles and volunteers her administrative expertise in assisting with the distribution of the Pulse.
JOHN BALLENGER // John Ballenger is the Founder of MaverickDad, an outreach to Christian men. John regularly contributes articles about family life, parenting and marriage relationships. A self-confessed entrepreneur, he has started and been a part of several business ventures. John is married to Rachel, his high school sweetheart, and most days they can be found enjoying their life adventures with their 7 children, Emelie, Marissa, Hanna, Allison, Jessica, Chase and Savannah.
